What materials does GEF use in construction?
Based on their project requirements, customers may choose from three resins:
- Industrial – corrosion-resistant isophthalic polyester resin system.
- Advanced – corrosion-resistant, fire-retardant isophthalic polyester resin system with a UV inhibitor.
- Premium – fire-retardant, highly corrosion resistant, and UV inhibiting vinyl ester resin system.
What features and benefits does fiberglass offer?
- Fiberglass is corrosion resistant, giving it low or no maintenance and superior lifespan.
- Fiberglass is nonconductive to both heat and electricity, greatly improving safety.
- Unlike coated metals, structural fiberglass color cannot chip or peel because it is molded into the fiberglass.
- Fiberglass possesses excellent strength and dimensional stability
- At equal section with steel, fiberglass is seventy-five percent lighter, reducing shipping and installation costs.
